Montgomery County Board of Elections Member, Grace Rivera-Oven, has resigned her position as a Substitute Member effective July 10, 2017. In response to that resignation, the Montgomery County Democratic Central Committee (MCDCC) will hold a public meeting to nominate a candidate to Governor Hogan to fill this position. The meeting will be held on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at the Montgomery County Democratic Party Office at 3720 Farragut Avenue, Suite 303, Kensington, MD 20895. The public is encouraged to attend this special meeting.
Per § 2-201 of the Maryland Election Law Article, eligible applicants for the nomination must be registered Democrats in Montgomery County for the 5 years immediately preceding the appointment. The MCDCC reserves the right to verify any information provided in an applicant’s resume, cover letter and application.
Applicants are asked to submit a one-page cover letter and a one-page resume outlining qualifications, background and confirming all eligibility requirements. All applications will be publically available on the MCDCC website (www.mcdcc.org) for public review.
The application deadline is Sunday, July 23, 2017 at 5:00 pm. However, we encourage you to submit your application as soon as possible.
