On Tuesday, January 16 the Montgomery County Democratic Central Committee voted to appoint two new gender balance members.

Greg Wims

The new member from State Legislative District 15 is Greg Wims (photo left). Greg is a 6th generation Montgomery County resident raised in upper Montgomery County. He lives in District 15 at 14224 Ashleigh Green Road, Boyds, Md and have volunteered for several democratic candidates over the years. He has registered new democratic voters over the years. In 2008 Greg was appointed co-chair for the MCDCC voter registration committee. At the time, they registered over 13,000 new voters a record for the MCDCC.

Ben Nicholson

The new member from State Legislative District 39 is Ben Nicholson (photo right). Ben has lived in D-39 in Quince Orchard Manor since 2009 and have lived in Maryland and been active in Maryland politics since 2003 previously living in the Twinbrook and New Mark Commons areas of Rockville. He has been working at Montgomery College since 2001 and has also been involved in county politics frequently attending county budget hearings and education forums.
