MCDCC Seeks Student Members: Apply by September 5, 2025

MCDCC Seeks Student Members
Applications for both 2025-6 slots are now closed

Every year, the MCDCC selects two students to participate in the meetings and activities of the Democratic Central Committee.

To apply for this student member position, you must be a:

  • Montgomery County High School student, at least 16 years old
  • U.S. citizen
  • Maryland resident
  • Registered Democrat

Gender diversity will be considered in the selection process in keeping with MCDCC Bylaws. Students who identify as female, male, transgender or non-binary may apply, but both student members selected can not be of the same gender.

Any interested and qualified student may submit a letter of interest and a resume documenting prior volunteer/civic/political or other extracurricular activity.

Applications must be submitted no later than 5 pm, Friday, September 5 via email to vacancy@mcdcc.org with the subject line: MCDCC Student Member Vacancy Application.

Applications for both 2025-6 slots are closed.

The vacancies will be filled at the regular public monthly meeting of the MCDCC to be held at 7:00 pm, Tuesday, September 9, 2025. Candidates will be given an opportunity to speak for up to 3 minutes at the business meeting and answer questions from current committee members. The September 2025 business meeting will be preceded by a Meet & Greet from 6 pm to 7 pm. All are welcome to attend. Register to attend the Meet & Greet and/or the business meeting at mcdcc.org/09-09-25.

This is a great opportunity to learn more about the inner workings of the local Democratic Party, participate in special projects and activities benefiting the Party, and contribute a young person’s voice and perspective to the Committee.

For more information about this opportunity, please contact Pamela Luckett and Marc Anthony Robles at outreach@mcdcc.org.
