Before you knock on doors with us, you’ll need some things.
- A smartphone so you can download the MiniVAN Touch app, the Democratic Party’s canvassing app. Download it on iPhone or android.
- A full water bottle! We’ll have water but always best to come prepared
- Weather-appropriate clothes and good walking shoes!

Your designated polling place
This is your last chance to vote in the 2026 Gubernatorial Election.
Vote in-person at your designated precinct polling place. If you need to vote at a Maryland polling place that is not your designated polling place, you may receive a provisional ballot.
Your polling place is printed on the official Board of Elections sample ballot mailed to your residence. If you recently moved or did not receive the sample ballot, you can look up your polling place at https://voterservices.elections.maryland.gov/VoterSearch.
If you have a vote-by-mail ballot, return it in the sealed ballot envelope by 8 pm in one of the following ways:
- Deposit it in an official Maryland ballot drop box by 8 pm.
- If mailing through the post office, make sure you go to the post office before it closes (usually 5 pm). Take your sealed ballot envelope to the counter and asked for it to be postmarked. Do not drop it in a mailbox without postmarking because there is no guarantee of the date and time it will be postmarked.
- Deliver it by hand to a polling place before 8 pm.

Maryland Congressman Jamie Raskin (D-8) has just been added as a featured speaker for the landmark “People Over Data Centers” conference in Baltimore on Saturday November 7. He’ll join legendary writer Bill McKibben and a host of other heavy hitters appearing virtually or in person at Maryland's first statewide conference focused on the future of data centers in our region and beyond.
Raskin, a committed climate activist and rising champion of data center reform, has just launched a Congressional investigation into the tech industry’s use of extreme secrecy around data center development. McKibben has been writing prolifically about the threat from AI data centers to public safety and the climate.

Mingle with fellow Democrats, meet your local representatives, and learn more about the work of the Montgomery County Democratic Party.
The Montgomery County Democratic Central Committee (MCDCC) holds its regular business meeting on the 2nd Tuesday of each month, and members of the public are invited to attend.
At the November meeting, we will be interviewing the candidates for the student member positions on the MCDCC and electing the new members.
